This is the 2022 selection for Nieuwe Electronische Waar (NEW), the most important platform for electronic music in the Eastern part of The Netherlands. From nearly 80 submitted tracks, a twenty-headed jury of miscellaneous music professionals selected this year’s most promising production talents for the 16th edition of NEW.

This year’s selection consists of BARTH, Daedra, |grens|, Loifer, Luc Pustjen, ODAIRA, TEMO, TRI, speeltuin, Vilosov and Vanta. They are offered a diverse, broad and personal development program, supported by partners and coaches from the Dutch electronic music scene.

Nieuwe Electronische Waar releases this compilation album with the tracks that got these producers selected. It's available as a free download and on all relevant streaming channels.

Please note that this year one of the selected producers does not appear on the compilation. Pianist and producer BARTH. was selected, but after submitting his track for NEW, was also approached by Warner for the release of his debut album. His entry will therefore not be featured on the NEW compilation, but will appear on his own album later this year.

Nieuwe Electronische Waar is a joint project of De Nieuwe Oost pop, Poppunt Gelderland and Poppunt Overijssel, in cooperation with venues, festivals and associated partners from the Gelderland and Overijssel provinces, like Burgerweeshuis, Doornroosje, Hedon, Metropool, Astrant, Luxor Live, GIGANT, De Perifeer, Studio Wonder, Booster Festival and Esc.rec.
